KanREN, the state of Kansas' Research and Education network, is a non-profit, member-governed consortium serving Kansas Education, Community Anchor Institutions, and member-facing professional organizations. Established to bring the internet to Kansas in 1992, we work alongside our members to ensure the highest quality internet connectivity, network services, and support. Operating as a a consortium enables us to leverage economies of scale for the internet connectivity and network services our members require today, yet maintain an agile approach as we work together to anticipate and address the technical demands shaping our future, and the future of those we collectively serve.
